Government Contracts

The Firm's Government Contracts group represents corporations and individuals in matters relating to all aspects of government contracting. The group counsels clients in connection with federal, state and local government contract matters, and litigates public contract cases before federal and state courts, including the United States Claims Court, as well as numerous federal boards of contract appeals.

The practice encompasses all areas of government contract formation, performance administration, payment and dispute resolution. In particular, the group has extensive expertise in bid protest cases and in preparing, negotiating and litigating contract claims. Attorneys in the group are well versed in the distinct meaning and effect given to contractual terms through their experience with past contract adjudications, rendering them particularly suited to handle issues relating to government contracts.

We also defend many government contractors in litigation brought by government authorities charging violations of government contracting rules. Typically, such cases involve charges under the False Claims Act and other federal fraud statutes.
